Hello! I’m Anand. I’m a guitarist with over 13 years of playing experience. I started guitar when I was 14 years old on an acoustic, took lessons with the legendary guitarist Shawn Fleming for 5 years, and then went to music school to pursue my bachelor’s degree in music. I have experience with composing, transcribing, arranging, music directing, and gigging.

I have played in numerous bands for the past 6 years of varying genres that consist of:

• Rock/Blues
• Jazz (straight-ahead, fusion, smooth)
• Funk
• Metal (progressive or otherwise)

Experienced in the following fields:

• Studio work, live playing, arranging(For small group, or big band)
• Solo playing(singer songwriter setting or solo jazz/contemporary arrangements)
• Touring: I have toured a good portion of the United States and have played in Egypt
• TEACHING: I have been teaching private guitar, bass, basic piano, mandolin, ukulele for over 6 years. I have experience in consulting students in composition, improvisation, advanced music theory, and even preparing for music school.
